Tech Untangled is published by Senaka Balasuriya. Senaka started this weblog to combine his passion for writing with a passion for analyzing and keeping up with the ever-changing tech landscape.

Senaka has been involved in Internet and wireless and wireline telecommunications, focusing on leading-edge products and technologies, since 1995.

Senaka currently works as a management consultant through an itty-bitty consulting company in New Jersey, and lives in sunny (and wet and warm and humid) Florida. Senaka has been in both the Manufacturer/Vendor and Service Provider sides and has had roles in Research (R&D), Software Development, System Design, Standards Development, Product Management, and Consulting.

Senaka is an inventor on more than 15 (stopped counting!) granted U.S. Patents and another 12 or so pending U.S. Patents for his work on Internet and telecom technologies.

Senaka earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business
(See MBA rankings in BusinessWeek & U.S. News and World Report), a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering also from the University at Buffalo.
